Lootah Hotel Management (LHM), one of the leading companies in family-oriented and Islamic hospitality in the UAE, has announced the opening of the first Sharia’h compliant resort in the Maldives by 2013. LHM recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maldives’ Kalaidhu Investment Pvt. Ltd. to partner in the resort’s undertaking.
Commenting on the MoU, Mr. Nasser Lootah, Member of the Board of Directors of S.S. Lootah Group and CEO of Lootah Hotel Management, said, “We are happy to be partnering with Kalaidhu Investment for our upcoming resort project. The decision comes as part of the Group’s strategy to expand its footprint and customer base towards prestigious tourism destinations around the world.”

The $85m project, expected to be complete by 2013, comprises of 50 luxury villas with private swimming pool and a private beach, a restaurant, a recreation center, a spa, a marina and yachts among other amenities to ensure the welfare and privacy of the families.
